TERMS OF USE & PRIVACY POLICY

INTERACT WITH K-12 CLASSES FROM AROUND THE WORLD!

OneWorld Classrooms is committed to protecting the privacy of teachers and students who use its Web site and programs and services. OneWorld Classrooms also requires that teachers and students using the its Web site and programs and services follow basic guidelines for appropriate interschool communication and educational use of shared and copyrighted materials. By using OneWorld Classrooms' Web site and programs and services, registrants agree to the following terms of use and acknowledge the privacy policy and usage guidelines explained in this document.

FREE ONLINE CONTENT

OneWorld Classrooms (OWC) offers free password-protected educational online content for the use of K-12 teachers and students. (OWC's free Travel & Learn Online content includes: the Classroom Travel Resources, the Electronic Cultural Exchange Library and the Student to Student Language Lab.) Teachers, school administrators, teacher trainers, prospective teachers and parents may register to access content for classroom and home study use and on behalf of their students/children. (We do not accept registrations submitted by K-12 students.) All registrants automatically gain access to the free online content. All registrants select or are assigned a username and password to access the free content. For security purposes, OWC requests that registrants not share their usernames and passwords with classes, schools or individuals that are not registered. (We welcome ALL teachers, classes, schools, etc. to register for their own username and password.) Registrants may modify their contact information and/or username/password at any point by sending an E-mail to register@oneworldclassrooms.org -- or by re-registering at www.oneworldclassrooms.org/register.html.

E-NEWSLETTER & BULLETINS

All registrants automatically receive our Enewsletter, The Connected Teacher, and related bulletins. Registrants may select which bulletins they would like to receive or opt not to receive bulletins when registering to receive the Enewsletter. When registering, registrants select whether they would like to receive OWC E-mails at their Contact E-mail Address only or at their Contact and Backup E-mail Addresses.

If the E-mail addresses OWC has on file for a registrant become inactive (i.e. our E-newsletter is returned to sender), we will use the backup Email address if there is one. If there is no backup address or if the backup address becomes inactive, we will remove the addresses from our mailing list and deactivate the registrant's access to the FREE Travel and Learn Online content.

Registrants may modify their contact information (including E-mail addresses) and change their bulletin preferences at any point by selecting the appropriate link on any Enewsletter or bulletin.

Tip: To avoid losing access to the free online content, registrants should make sure their school's spam filter does not block OWC E-mails (from @oneworldclassroom.org) and Constant Contact Emails (from constantcontact.com).

E-MAIL POLICY

We only send E-mails to teachers/individuals who have registered to receive our free online content, have inquired about OWC programs and services or are participating or have participated in our programs. We do not share E-mail addresses or contact information with third parties and we only use E-mail addresses and contact information to communicate with registrants about our programs and services and related educational resources.

At any point, registrants may request to have their E-mail addresses removed from our mailing list (they will also lose access to the free online content). We honor all remove requests. Registrants may also modify their E-mail bulletin preferences or contact information at any point by sending an E-mail to register@oneworldclassrooms.org -- or by selecting the appropriate link on any Enewsletter or bulletin.
